With a career spanning over 30 years in education in Georgia.  Ty's had the opportunity to serve in a variety of capacities in several districts.  He served as an assistant principal for the Whitfield County School System where he worked with discipline, facilities, instruction, and assessment.  As principal of Eastside Elementary in Dalton, GA Ty worked extensively with English Language Learners and their families.  Later Ty served as principal of Morgan County Elementary School in Madison, GA and finished his career as Executive Director of Teaching & Learning for the Jasper County School System in Monticello, GA, where he served as Federal Programs Director, along with primary responsibilities for curriculum, professional learning, accountability, grants, TKES/LKES, instructional coaches, and school improvement.

What Ty is most proud of is his extensive work with schools and districts around Georgia in helping them build teacher capacity to lead and sustain the school improvement process within schools.  Implementing a structured impact check process that drives the work of teachers and leaders daily.

For the past 5 years, Ty has worked as a consultant to various school districts around Georgia assisting with MAP Assessments, School Improvement Planning, Professional Learning, Cross Functional Monitoring, and other administrative functions districts have required assistance.

Mr. Snyder is a trained Design Team Coach with the Schlechty Center for School Improvement, in Louisville, Kentucky and has worked as Performance Coach for the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement for the past 4 years.

 MAP Assessments – Customized professional learning to guide teachers and school leaders on how to use MAP data to drive instruction at the school and classroom level.
